The name Sew Lovely Cupcake comes from my nickname "cupcake", although people don't really call me that anymore. However, I still love all things cupcake.
The "sew" comes from my working with fabric, although I must admit, I don't know how to use my sewing machine. I'm working on learning, though!
And the "lovely" is a word I use often & it sounded good when paired with "sew" & "cupcake".
I started in 2012, making things as a hobby. I've always been crafty. A lot of people on Instagram were telling me I should open an Etsy shop, so I did! It's been a lot of fun. A lot of work, but a lot of fun. I look back on the beginning days & can really tell how far I've come. My quality of work has greatly improved, as well as the variety of items I make & sell. I started this crafty little adventure because I love jewelry & accessories & was having a hard time finding smaller, "simpler" items that I really loved & fit my style & were affordable, so I decided to create my own! And I figured there were others out there that felt the same way, so I wanted to share my creations with them. I know how fabulous I feel when I get a great new piece of jewelry I adore, and I hope to cause you to feel the same way!
This shop is fun for me. I love selling things I've made. It allows me to be crafty & make a little money from it. It mostly just supports my crafting habit ;-)
I've been crafting in various ways ever since I can remember....I suppose it started in Girl Scouts (joined in Kindergarten). It brings me such joy to create pretty things & have others enjoy them as well.
I put a lot of care into everything I make. I use good quality items, & I hold myself to a high standard. I believe in the Golden Rule & try to abide by it daily. This affects my business too, as I know I love good quality items, great customer service & lovely packaging. So I make sure to provide that every single time.
I love being creative & crafty & getting covered in glue. There are few things in life as rewarding as seeing your idea, your creation, come to life.
